Following her divorce from professional hockey player Mike Comrie, 26-year-old Hilary Duff has started working on her next studio album. She let her fans in on the plan when she recently posted a photo of her signing a record deal, to her personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The most recent album release from Duff, for new content, was with her Dignity album which got released back in 2007.
Duff has been out of the music scene for a few years, focusing instead on her married life and on raising her son Luca. But now that she is single again, Duff is ready to go back to the studio and hit the stage. Duff and Comrie still enjoy spending time together and are seen quite frequently on outings with their son.
It sounds like we can expect to hear some refreshing new tunes from the star. Recently, fellow artist Ed Sheeran commented on her new album recording efforts,
“I feel like her record is not what they will expect,… Obviously she comes from ‘Lizzie McGuire’ and that pop world, but she’s more grown up now, so it’s more of an adult alternative acoustic sound.” says Sheeran.
They teamed up to work together for her new album which is expected some time this fall. And Duff couldn’t be happier to be recording again.
